Escape from Alcatraz 2010 ... -31 days

Training yesterday was random... wanted to go for intervals but ended up doing stairs... a lot of them :-). The location was cool, the stairs huge and I literally over committed and over delivered on that.

Good sensation and that super cold water pouring from the sky made the experience definitely Alcatraz friendly.

This morning @ 7am I was back in the gym doing easy Spinning to recover and tonight I will go for another intense swimming session.

I will totally deserve Dario's Pizza!

Ciao

Escape from Alcatraz 2010 ... -32 days

Two posts in 2 days.... I am so serious about this!

Yesterday swimming session was tough but satisfying, 120 laps force and drills. What hurt the most was seeing on my left lane the Master class ... and each one of them was always faster than me. I guess the race is getting closer and the real swimmers are getting into the pools now... time to face the truth regarding my poor swimming skills :(.

Today I will leave the pic of the pool building from the outside... absolutely gorgeous location!

Tonight intervals @ the stadium.

Escape from Alcatraz 2010 ... -33 days

Finally made it back to my blog. Poor little piece of code... it must have felt so lonely!

Ok 33 days left to this huge target. Since I moved to San Francisco I have been dreaming about this, now that I have some spare minute I decided that instead of reading online about how tough and crazy this Triathlon is, I will go ahead and log my training, sensation and picture of this last month before the race.

Swimming wise I still need to try the Wetsuit... and I have never been in the cold water of the bay yet. ( First step I will start taking some cold shower...and try to get used to this )

Biking base is there.... cant say I got a lot of stamina... but force is there, now just need 2 weeks fine tune and then taper.

Running base is good, not an issue here... now we will see what happen on race day.

Today I will go for some spinning and swimming, taking it easy for tomorrow intervals.

Leaving one portion of my bedroom :-P
